Atlas Turf International Limited was proud to sponsor the Sustainability Seminar presented by ePar at the recent Sentosa Agronomy education program in conjunction with the Barclays Singapore Open.
Ben Gibson of ePar provided a detailed seminar for superintendents regarding sustainability as it relates to the golf industry. Focusing specifically on sustainable golf course management, Gibson provided in-depth information on environmental compliance and best practices, staff training, technology, leadership, and environmental emergency readiness.
Attendees of the seminar were superintendents and golf industry professionals from around the world gathered at Sentosa to serve as tournament volunteers. Each year, Sentosa Chief Agronomist Andy Johnston recruits volunteers to assist with course maintenance for the Singapore Open. During the days leading up to the tournament, Johnston offers volunteers continuing education in their field.
